From Rs 15,000 to Rs 74 Crore: The Grit Behind Ksquare Energy's Solar Rise

In 2016, Kuldip Sorathiya's dreams of studying in Canada were crushed when banks rejected his education loan. With ₹17 lakh in family debt and no way forward, he returned to his village in Gujarat. But what looked like an end became a new beginning.
Armed with just ₹15,000 in savings, he launched Ksquare Energy Pvt Ltd in 2017 from a tiny 150 sq. ft. rented room in Ahmedabad. No team. No funding. No factory. Just one rooftop and an unshakable belief in solar energy.
Today, Ksquare powers over 8,000 homes, supplies to 650+ EPC companies, and ranks among India’s top 10 vendors under PM Surya Ghar Yojana. What’s more inspiring? The company builds its own ACDBs, DCDBs, MCBs, and Solsquare cables in-house—proving that innovation doesn’t need outside funding, just inside fire.
While most startups chase valuation, Ksquare has chased value—and remained profitable since day one. It closed FY24 with ₹74 crore revenue and is on track to hit ₹225 crore by FY26. The vision? ₹1,000 crore by 2030, fueled by new proprietary solar products in development.
Kuldip leads with purpose, joined by his brother and co-founder Kalpesh Sorathiya and R&D head Prakash Dobariya. Together, they’re not just building a company—they’re powering a movement.
💬 “We want to empower energy access and employment, not just with panels, but with purpose,” says Kuldip.
